14th edition of SUPERNOVA open for applications: unique programme in Portugal now accepting applications for the semester starting in September

Due to increasing demand, this unique programme in Portugal, which aims to help students from different countries adapt to the European education system, is now accepting applications for the next semester.

At the same time as welcoming the group of students who will soon be attending SUPERNOVA's Spring Semester – the reception is scheduled for 16 February! – the NOVA team, which runs this unique pre-university programme in Portugal, is pleased to announce that enrolments are now open for the autumn semester, which will begin in September

As a multidisciplinary programme, the SUPERNOVA Foundation Programme offers a series of different subjects taught by NOVA, in Portuguese and/or English, to develop both academic and linguistic skills. It can also be completed in a period of between six months and one year.

Launched in 2018, SUPERNOVA is highly sought after by young people from countries such as Brazil and the PALOP (Portuguese-speaking African countries), but it has also received registrations from many other parts of the world – from the USA to Russia, Morocco, Tunisia or Bangladesh, and even the United Kingdom. The numbers speak for themselves: a year and a half ago, 249 applications were registered; this year, 323.

Moreover, for the past year, successful participation in SUPERNOVA has guaranteed candidacy for courses not only at NOVA University Lisbon but also at several of NOVA's European partner universities.

Students who complete the course will be able to apply to universities such as Ca' Foscari in Venice, CY Cergy in Paris, or Lancaster University in the UK. The University of Algarve, our partner in the south of Portugal, and the new NOVA Campus in Cairo are also on the list.
