NOVA Choir is looking for new elements, and a period of auditions is currently taking place. Interested parties in joining this group must contact the Choir through the address coro@unl.pt, indicating the name, age, degree, university, profession, and musical experience.
About the NOVA Choir
The NOVA University Lisbon Choir (NOVA Choir) was born in 1988, having taken the first steps under the direction of Maestro Artur Carneiro with the integration of elements from the different organic units of the University. In 1994, Maestro João Valeriano assumes the direction and promotes workshops on vocal technique, breathing technique, concerts with invited conductors and dedicated work of choosing repertoire and preparation. The musical repertoire of NOVA's Choir is vast and diversified, spanning several eras and styles, integrating a capella pieces, or pieces that require instrumental accompaniment, and soloists. Currently, the Choir of the NOVA University Lisbon has about 45 members.
