During this EUTOPIA Week Lisbon 2023, which already has a video summary on Youtube, we discussed the role of higher education in building a better Europe, the European ecological treaty, adapting to the digital age, an economy designed for people, a new impulse for European democracy. But not only.
There were moments of work, conviviality, and cultural activities, as the Rector of NOVA University Lisbon, João Sàágua, so well pointed out at the opening ceremony.
To emphasise that the university is for the students, the future of universities was discussed from the student's point of view, and there were even lectures on student integration.
And on the last day, we also had the pleasure of hosting the Women in Diplomacy Conference, organised by MUD@R - Mulheres Diplomatas em Rede, which discussed gender inequality in diplomacy and had the high patronage of the Presidency of the Republic.
In his recorded message, the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, left a clear message: "The country does not need someone who says what is wrong, but someone who knows what is right".
