The fifth edition of Concurso de Bandas NOVA Música, an initiative of the Social Services of the NOVA University Lisbon (SASNOVA), organized by Culture, Communication and Image office, is back! Open to solo musicians and bands comprising at least one student (or former student) from NOVA University Lisbon (1st to 3rd Cycle, Erasmus or other mobility programs), the competition aims to promote Portuguese music to NOVA students, rewarding the finalists with a performance in the final of the contest and the winner with a prize money of 700 euros.
The registration must be made until May 16, 2019, submitting the Registration Form, which will indicate the YouTube URL where the file with the song to the contest was inserted, which should be an unpublished theme.
The songs in the contest will be analyzed by the jury and voted by the public, being chosen the 3 bands that will act in the final where the winning band will be verified.
As of May 17, all themes will be available for the Facebook contest of NOVA Música (https://www.facebook.com/FESTIVALNOVA) and on this site, and public voting will be done, until May 21, through of likes in the post FB, being that the post with more likes will qualify the respective band for the end. The remaining finalists will be chosen by the jury, whose definitive constitution will be indicated before the deadline for voting of the public.
The finalists will be posted on this site and on Facebook of NOVA Música on May 22nd.
