NOVA University Lisbon has recently become a member of the United Nations Initiative for Higher Education Sustainability (HESI), a global community comprising prestigious higher education institutions, student organizations, and UN entities, such as UNESCO and the UN Academic Impact, following the application submitted by the NOVA Office for Equality and Inclusion.
HESI aims to enhance the role of Higher Education in advancing sustainable development by facilitating multi-stakeholder discussions and the dissemination of best practices.
Joining the HESI community, following NOVA`s membership of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), in January 2023, represents an important recognition of this university’s ongoing commitment to sustainable development, which is reflected in its educational offer, research agenda priorities, and institutional practices.
