NOVA University Lisbon attended the event "Study in Portugal - Brazilian High School Counsellors Workshop"

The meeting was aimed at the directors of 29 Brazilian schools with which NOVA shared its programmes for international students.

Organised by BMI/Times Higher Education, with the support of the Erasmus Portugal Agency, and held in Lisbon on 27 and 28 November, the meeting aimed to strengthen relations with the most important international schools in Brazil.

Every year, around 8 similar workshops take place around the world, providing an exclusive opportunity for international educational institutions to meet with secondary school counsellors from key regions.

Exclusively for Portuguese universities and polytechnics, this event was an excellent opportunity to strengthen the brand and the unique educational offer for those responsible in Brazil for actively preparing students to continue their studies abroad.

A total of 29 main advisors, duly accredited by the Times Higher Education Advisor Program (THE CAP), which aims to support the international school sector, were present at the Lisbon event.

In addition to the counsellors' workshop, the event also included a seminar attended by the Secretary of State for Higher Education, Pedro Nuno Teixeira, and a visit to NOVA SBE, where it was possible to receive feedback from Brazilian students who had entered the school after completing the SUPERNOVA – Foundation Programme, a unique programme in Portugal aimed at pre-university students and designed to help students from different countries adapt to the European education system.
