NOVA University Lisbon is promoting the NOVA Science & Innovation Day, an event aimed at celebrating research excellence and innovation at the University. This year's edition will take place on November 21st, at the University's Rectorate facilities on the Campolide Campus.
The morning session will be dedicated to Science, with a focus on highlighting the outstanding research conducted at NOVA and its societal impact. The programme places particular emphasis on interdisciplinarity and the impact of research produced at the University. It includes a segment dedicated to the researchers at NOVA who have excelled in the past year, both in terms of funding acquisition and the impact of their research, as well as the launch of a new interdisciplinary research community. The morning session will also feature the presentation of the winners of the Research Impact Narratives Challenge, which took place this year, with the appropriate awards.
The afternoon session will revolve around the theme of Innovation, featuring a notable success story in the transfer of scientific knowledge to society. A roundtable discussion with various representatives from NOVA's innovation ecosystem and partners will follow. Concurrently, in the atrium, an Innovation Fair will be held, showcasing proprietary technologies, specialized services, CoLabs, Spin-offs, and other businesses within the University's ecosystem.
This event represents a unique opportunity for the academic community and the general public to get an up-close look at the excellent work carried out at the Nova University Lisbon and how it translates into innovation and value for society.
