João Paço, teacher of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, used, for the first time in Portugal, the Google Glass in an operating room. The surgery allowed to restore hearing to a 17 year-old man and was transmitted live, on the internet.
The transmission has academic purposes, both for professionals and students in the health area.
The Google Glass is an electronic device that allows, amongst other features, to transmit image and sound, for instance, via internet.
