On October 3rd, NOVA welcomed His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of United Arab Emirates, Emir-Governor of Sharjah, accompanied by his entourage. During the meeting, attended by Professor José Ferreira Gomes, Secretary of State of Higher Education, Professor Eduardo de Arantes e Oliveira, NOVA’s General Council President, Professor António Rendas, Rector of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, and Professor Ferreira Machado, Dean of Nova SBE, were discussed matters of mutual interest in the scientific and educational areas, that will contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations.
