Project "Hereditary Breast Ovarian Cancer- Optimizing hereditary cancer pathway" is the winner

The project Hereditary Breast Ovarian Cancer – HBOC: Optimizing hereditary cancer pathways (saving costs and lives) was the winner of the Alfredo da Silva Award in the area of Health Systems Sustainability.

Researcher Carla Oliveira, of i3S, leads the wiining team formed by Liliana Sousa (i3S), Fátima Carneiro (CHUSJ), Fátima Vaz (IPO-Lisboa), Judite Gonçalves (Nova SBE), Helena Canhão (NMS) and Tamara Milagre (EVITA).

This award, an initiative of the Fundação Amélia de Mello,  has scientific curatorship by NOVA University Lisbon / NOVAhealth and consists of a 25,000 euros grant. The projects were evaluated according to four criteria - relevance of the proposal, innovation and transdisciplinarity, metodology, implementation and impact for society.
