Interdisciplinarity and innovation are fundamental practices for the theme of sustainability, which NOVA acknowledges and undertakes in its missions, in teaching and training, in research and development, and in the creation of value and impact on the community; as well as in its infrastructure and services.
The NOVA community (teachers, researchers, students and non-teachers) already develops a wide range of activities related to sustainability in its organic units and research centres, with internationally recognized cases. NOVA has enormous potential to increase its impact on the scientific, innovation, social and economic agendas for Sustainability.
The first edition of NOVA SUSTAINABILITY WEEK is exclusive to the NOVA community and aims to bring together the several Schools showing what they have already developed and promoting the intersection of inter and multidisciplinary opportunities, for example around the Sustainable Development Goals in which they already work. Everyone's participation is very important!
NOVA Sustainability Week will take place between the 12th and 16th of September, with on-site activities on the Campolide Campus on the 13th and 14th of September, and aims to act as a transformative opportunity for everyone who wants to align their activity with the United Nations Agenda 2030.
Interested parties must express their interest, by sending the template available below, by July 15th. If you teach, research or develop activities with an impact on Sustainability, we count on you! If you haven't already, this is your opportunity to learn how to get started. NOVA counts on everyone!
